Nationwide Job Shop and our local web sites respect the privacy of our users. We work hard to provide a safe and secure online user experience. This privacy policy sets forth the online data collection and usage policies that apply to Nationwide Job Shop and our local web sites.
All of the data collected will be stored and processed entirely or in part in the United States. Some of the information we gather on our local web sites may be shared with our advertisers in order to continue to deliver the outstanding service we offer to both job seekers and employers. Our web site may contain links to other web sites over which we have no control. We are not responsible for the privacy policy or usage policies of other web sites to which our users choose to visit. We encourage and recommend that our users read the privacy policies of those other web sites to understand how those sites collect and use your information.
Collection of Information
In order to access some areas of our local web sites, we request or may request that our users provide personal information. This personal information may include your full name, address, email address, phone number, web site, and other relevant contact information. An example of an area where we would collect personal information such as this are pages where you can register for an account, post a resume, or purchase a product or service. We also may gather information about your use of our local web sites and other Nationwide Job Shop web sites. Information such as what areas you have visited and what services you access are examples. The specific information we collect may include your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times, referring web site address, and frequency of visits.
Use of Information
We use the information we gather on our local web sites for the purpose of operating and improving Nationwide Job Shop and our other local web sites, creating a positive user experience, and delivering our advertised products and services. Any feedback or suggestions become the property of Nationwide Job Shop and we can use such feedback for marketing purposes or user experience upgrades.
Disclosure of Information To Other
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information to third parties, except as outlined in this section. We will disclose information to third parties if you consent to such disclosure. If you indicate that you would like to receive information about opportunites, products, or services from third parties at the time your register or while using our site, we will supply your contact information to third parties such as employers, recruiters, marketers or others for the purpose of sending you email or other communication. We disclose information to companies and individuals we employ to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include our web servers, marketing department, data analysis department, credit card merchant bank, and customer service. These companies and individuals will have access to your personal information only as necessary to perform their functions. We disclose information if legally required to do so by a government entity or if we believe in good faith that such action would be in the interest of public or personal saftey of the public or our users.
We also share aggregated anonymous information about visitors to our local web sites and other Nationwide Job Shop web sites with our clients, partners, and employers to help them assess the success of a posted job listing. This information is non-specific (unless user actively sends resume through our system to specific employer) and aggregates total impressions and clicks to a job listing.
Job Seeker Resumes
Our local web sites keeps a resume database for users that voluntarily wish to submit their resume. Our users may store their resume in our database and allow it to be fully searchable and viewable by employers who purchase access to such database. Our users may also choose to store their resume in our database, but not allow it to be searched or viewed by these employers. Users may also choose to send their resume to an employer, thus giving permission for it to be viewed by such specific emlpoyer, regardless of whether they have choosen to make it public or private. We limit access to our searchable and viewable resume database only to paying employers, recruiters, hiring managers, headhunters, human resource professionals, and law enforcement agencies (when required). We can not guarantee that other parties will not gain access to this database. We are not responsible for the use made of resumes by third parties who access such resumes while they are in our searchable database.
Modification of Information
You may review, update, or change some information stored in your account by using your account control panel on our local web sites. To change your information, simply log into your account and access your control panel. Relevant links are included in the Job Seekers Control Panel and Employers Control Panel.
Use of Cookies
We use cookies to help personalize and maximize the online experience of our users. A cookie is simply a text file that is placed on your hard drive by a web page server. Cookies are not used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. They are simply used for the web server to uniquely identify a user and make it able for them to access user-specific areas of our web site. You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. If you choose to decline cookies, portions of our web site may not be available to you.
Security
We have implemented various technical measures to secure your personal information from accidental loss, and unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. We cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never be able to defeat those measures or use your personal information for improper purposes. When you place an order online at our local web sites or Nationwide Job Shop, your credit card information is protected through the use of encryption, specifically the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. This system makes it difficult for your credit card information to be intercepted or stolen during transmission. We use a merchant bank to process our credit card transactions.
